Other things to see and do...

Port Mcneill is known for its logging history, Orcas, and great fishing.

Port Mcneill is home to the two largest

Tree burls in the world, found during

logging in the area.  They are as big as

large trucks.  Click on the pictures for

directions to each one.

We suggest visiting Telegraph Cove, during your stay. A very beautiful fishing village, with shops, restaurants, and our famous Whale Museum.

Devils Bath Brewing;  one of our favourite breweries is within walking distance of whale watching and the hotels in Port Mcneill.   Great beer, food and pizza's are offered here.

Devils Bath Landmark and Eternal Fountain; are popular local landmarks up Alice Lake logging road from Port Mcneill. Devils Bath is a body of still water at the base of a cliff, fed by a series of underground/water caves.  Eternal Falls is a small waterfall that seamlessly comes out the middle of a rock wall.  <<Directions>>

Ferry to Alert Bay (Cormorant Island).  Explore our Indigenous Culture by taking a trip to Alert Bay. See many beautiful totem poles, and long houses up close.  You may even get to see complimentary Indigenous dance at the Namgis Big House

Port Hardy, and Port Alice are within driving distance.  They are known for fishing Charters and beautiful ocean inlet scenery. More North Island towns to explore, born off Logging and Fishing Industries.

Little Huson Caves are located between Port Mcneill and Woss on the main highway.  They are 45 minutes away from Port Mcneill. Beautiful open water carved caves to walk around.  They are self guided, and don't require spelunking or squeezing into tight spaces.

We are proud to call North Vancouver Island Home, and we want to share it with all of you!
